Dealing with chargebacks

Ive been getting calls from my bank because customers dont recognize the charge on their account. I have no doubt this is because my business name is very general yet my product is more specific. If you knew my business name you'd never guess the many things I sale.

In any case, heres my questions

What can I do about this? By the end of this year I hope to be selling many different products in many niches, so changing the name to fit this one product is not an option.

Also what is most likely to happen if I get chargebacks? Besides the lose in income, is it bad for my business? Does it set off red flags?

How many chargebacks a month would I have to get to get in trouble? Can this get my in trouble? Perhaps I shouldnt even worry about it?

Thanks

If it's genuine confusion, then a note on the 'transaction completed' page could say something like:

"This will appear on your bank statement as "Widget Products of Ilfracombe" - and try to keep that 'statement descriptor' as obvious as possible.

These errors often occur when the business name, site name and logo are inconsistent.

I had endless problems with a supplier whose transactions were listed as "I feel good" - I could never remember what idiot company that was (that phrase never appeared on the website), and did about three charge backs before we got it sorted.
