How could I make a better local business directory?

How could I make a better local business directory? Not a directory of websites, but of actual local businesses with their address, phone, websites, emails, products, services, hours of operation, etc.

Below are existing business directories. Which ones are easier to use? Best looking? Most useful? What would make them better?

That would be the multi-billion dollar question! Answer the question and you'll have the chance to compete against all of the big guys and steal their market share. As such, you're probably not going to get that answer (if it exists) for free. :)
