Duplicated content, how to solve it?

I have a lot of content were picked from article directories.

I also own an article directory. So most of my content are duplicated.

Now I am going to use article marketing and social marketing to promote my site, will duplicated content effect the results?

My sites were designed for adsense program, so the quality are lower. Do I need to change all my content or add a new website before I start driving traffic to my sites?

You are saying that most of your content already exists on the web? I would think that yes, you will have problems. Google does recognise duplicate content and in general terms they don't appreciate it.
