Using a slash in the headline

how do SEs see the slashed words?

Suppose the keyword for a certain page is "wild russian blue widgets." That is of course what I am going to use in the file name, title, description, and keywords tags. But when it comes to the headline, what would happen if I use "wild russian blue/green widgets?"

How would that affect the way the SEs see the headline? Do they see "blue/green" as one word and therefore the headline would not be consistent with the keyword?

What if I made it read "blue / green" (spaces before and after the slash)? Would adding the extra word (green) in the headline somehow lessen the impact of the headline search engine-wise?

What's a headline?

Are you referring to a page

<title>Title</tile>
, or perhaps
<h1>headings</h1>
, or something else?

It probably wouldn't make a difference anyway. Just use

&#47;
for the /

Sorry, I'm referring to the heading.

What is the difference between using &#47; and a /?
