Block users

Hello. I've got a website were users post messages. I want to block users to read only 5 messages after that to display a message " you must register" i tryed to do that whith a counter in mysql but he desplays the mesage but the person stil read messages . any ideea?

Have you tried requiring cookies for viewing the site?

Meanwhile, why don't you want potential users to view the posts...?
