Simple web forms that don't pull the user away to another site?

my client is upset that her web forms drag the user away from her site.

I have a client who uses custom forms on her web site to collect user feedback. She's been using formlog.com and is happy with it, but doesn't like that the post-submission landing page takes the user away from her site. Does anyone know of a provider of these forms which are entirely embeddable within her site, won't carry the user away, and are still fully functional?

I realize the free sites are typically ad-supported; that's why I'm willing to pay for this.

Thanks

Why dont use own script to handle this for free? I strongly suggest using own most servers support cgi these days if not php.

If you really want to pay for this there are plently of those just google form handler script

I still suggest using some php script which is free and secrue to handle forms on your own

Good luck

cavemanlawyer15, I'll second what benevolent001 said. Simply do a web search for form scripts and I know you will find a variety using asp, php and cgi. You can also visit W3 Schools [w3schools.com] and check their tutorials on forms. One thing to check before you might waste your time is, if you are having the results emailed to you, know what kind of built-in mail client is on your server. Second, make sure you know what databases are available to you. There is nothing more frustrating than doing a lot of work for not.

Many third party form providers let you specify a landing page on your own site. It seems to be a bit more restrictive if you want a different page for each form or to dynamically include parameters.

If your client can host the forms on her own server then that is the way to go.

I have a similar problem for a website I maintain for a small charity. I provide a facility to email advertising copy for their newsletter then send the advertiser to the payment processor with all the necessary parameters for checkout. The hosting service provodes basic forms but attachments require an expensive upgrade. I currently have a contract with an external service provider which very reasonable - too reasonable as they have decided to shut down next year and I am trying to find a service that fills our requirement at a reasonable cost. (The site is barely funded through adsense/amazon)
