I generally develop in Dreamweaver so if anyone knows of an extension that perhaps installs a content management solution that would be awesome as well.

It isn't terribly active, though.
I'm in pretty much the same boat as you. Since my hosting account is currently on Windows, I've been experimenting with DotNetNuke (it is free). At the moment, I have it installed in a VMWare virtual machine. The nice thing about it is that it uses the free Visual Studio Web Developer Express IDE.
You might also look at Joomla and Drupal. The OpenSourceCMS site will let you try out a ton of different CMS's without installing anything on your PC.

I like Drupal over Joomla, it's especially good for community-type sites
Also if there are suggestions for CMS packages that aren't necessarily for community sites, but sites that will simply have a ton of content and you want to make it easy to upload new articles would be good. I haven't checked out either of these yet, but they may work very well for that purpose as well.
My thought is if I had a site on making, buying, and using widgets that I could write the content and articles and with the right CMS system have a non-web developer upload all the content. Someone like a virtual assistant.
