Take screenshot from video?

Hi,
I'm running a server with PHP and Apache on Linux, and I wonder if there's some way to generate a screenshot from uploaded 3GP and MP4 videos. This way the users would be able to upload video without the need to provide a screenshot file.

yes, look for ffmpeg - it is an open source program that is designed to convert movie files, but it also has an extract screenshot option.
