Seen the new PayPal buttons?

Has anyone seen the new PayPal "Buy Now" buttons? Instead of the regular square blue and white buttons, the new ones are oval and have a sort of orange glass effect. I think they must be pretty new, because I could swear the old style was still being used the last time I created a button about a week ago.

Am I the only one who thinks it's fairly daring for them to depart so drastically from their highly-respected and well-recognized (and color-neutral) buttons and switch to these new ones? I mean, this could have quite an impact on the trust factor for websites that take PayPal payments.

I should mention that the old style of buttons are still available if you click the "Other button sizes" link when creating a button, and I also opted to try out their new site design which could have an impact on what buttons they're showing me by default. But still, it looks like PayPal may be about to do some really major rebranding.

I don't mind so much if they change their logo - the new logo images are really pretty slick and the words "PayPal" still look pretty much the same. What bothers me more are the small "Buy Now" buttons that don't, and never did, include the word "PayPal" on them. All recognition for those just went out the window...

I really don'y care what colour they are so long as they work. I have not been able to create any more encrypted buy now buttons for several weeks, also some of my existing buy now buttons used in conjunction with a shopping cart have stopped working.
