Just wondering what is your take on outgoing links and their relevance in search rankings. We always hear about incoming links (probably because a much higher relevance), but what kind of impact do you see outgoing links having on our site's? Thanks!

My opinion is that it depends upon what site you're linking to. If your site has to do with homes, and you link to the Federal Housing Administration, that seems logical. A link to a Viagra site doesn't.

I have a site that ranks very well. It has a lot of one-way outbound links to sites that I think my visitors would find useful. I also have a lot of reciprocal links with sites that visitors would find useful.

If the folks at Google, MSN or Yahoo don't think that providing such links is a benefit, then I'm Bugs Bunny.
