Okay...i am pretty new at building websites. 1 month ago, i didn't know jack. I just built 2 websites but am having some trouble. The websites include my affiliate links so they are important to me.

On my squeeze page, I have gotten all the content filled in and have my opt-in form on. What I am trying to do is upload a pdf, that way i can just send people a link where they can receive my "free gift."

Using my autoresponder, I am not able to just attach the "free gift" since it is too big.

I understand that I have to first upload the file to my server, which is done now. I am using a MAC and used Captain FTP to transfer the file onto the server.

Now that the file is uploaded, what do i do next?
The location of the file should be www.whatever.com/thefreegift.pdf right?

I am really confused as to what to do now...Thanks in advance

You're on the right track. Now that the file is uploaded to your server, just create a link to it and place it where you want it on the appropriate page. Test it then to make sure you have the link set up properly, but your visitors should only need to click on the link to download the pdf.

Firefox can be a problem, though, it tends to want to open the pdf instead of downloading it (not giving visitors a choice in how they want to handle it). But most FF users know they can right click and "save link as" to save a copy of the pdf, so that shouldn't be a problem. (Or you could put instructions to that effect on the page.)
