Getting DoSed by "Indy Library"

Brett Tabke, you should be familiar with this. My site is getting bombarded with thousands of requests by some stupid bot called Indy Library. Needless to say, I have now banned that User-agent. I hope the user is too clueless to change it.

Have you had similar experiences?

Are you talking to Brett in particular? Anyway, I also have Indy Library banned. Whatever it is, it's pretty popular.

Many or most of us have, and I imagine a near equal amount have banned the Indy Library UA.

Indy Library is part of the Delphi/C++ Builder suite and is a tool used for interacting with the Internet, similar to LWP, cURL, or wget. It seems to be particularly favoured by Chinese ne'er-do-wells.

It should be noted that this site gets many new posts every hour (minute?). I'm afraid that the odds of one particular mod happening to read all of your posts, let alone replying within your very tight time constraints, is vanishingly small. Sorry.
