Where to tell people about a new user-driven site?

I have a new site which I really believe in, but nobody knows about it yet. I have done everything in my power, which is not much, but i get nobody visiting it or even giving it a chance.

What do you do? I have tried sending the URL to some sites for them to write about it, but they haven't replied and probably ignore it as spam.

Hi,

If you haven't already, have a good read through the "Community Building and Social Networks" forum library... something in there might give you some ideas...!

Well, that was pretty "real." Like sales, it's going to depend on your market and your content. Exchanging links is only one of the "small" pieces in the puzzle. Get it going on the search engines, and throw some money into advertising, starting with an adWords campaign to get thingsrolling.

Since you didn't find anything of use in the archived "Social Networks" library, perhaps you could outline all of the steps that you have taken (which would obviously include most of those outlined in the Library, since you found nothing new there), along with the timeframes and the outcomes of each.

Thank you.
