As an IT pro who travels a lot, particularly in Europe and Asia I'm surprised that webmasters insist that I must be Japanese if I connect from Japan, and do not give the option to select English. Likewise my French and Spanish friends tell me that webmasters force them to read dire non-english translations that are missing 90% of the content that is available in the English version, but still are forced to read it everyday.
At the moment I'm in France, I'm using Horde Mobile and 200 times a day I try to reselect English at login to MIMP, but the programme can't remember that, so I'm have to navigate in French anyway, because the teenager who developed it assumes that French IP login must mean a Frenchie right? Wrong.
Other culprits today are Google, Ebay and Paypal, webmasters and developers everywhere please note, location does not define nationality or linguistics, always allow the choice.
Oh, and get out a bit, non-English speaking countries can be fun.
