Hey there,

I really really hope you guys can help me here. I'm doing some research for a project I'm starting in a few weeks...and I just can't find what I'm looking for.

Basically, I need to prove that the majority of small- to medium-sized businesses here in the UK use Windows, as apposed to Mac, Unix, etc, for their desktop machines.

Now I know that this is true - the majority of businesses DO use Windows [either XP, or Vista, not too bothered at this stage about that] but I can't seem to find any statistics about this anywhere!

Has anyone stumbled across any article or anything that simply mentions something like '80% use Windows'? I'm not really looking for accuracy here, but I need to prove that it's true.

Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers,

B

bhonda,

If this is any help, on average between multiple sites, 85% of my visitors use Windows, 15% Mac and .3% Linux.

And for what it is worth - browsers: 70% IE, 19% FF, 20% Safari, and the rest Netscape, Camino and Opera.
