My current web developers are very slow to respond to requests and I want to change to another development company.

can anyone tell me if
1. The change of developers / hosting service will have an impact on my google rankings
2 What pitfalls I should look out for when changing

many Thanks

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Clearc01.

In most cases changing developers should have little or no impact on your site's rankings. However, who's to say what your new developers might do? I think your question might be a bit too vague to elicit much of a detailed response.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it! That is not to say don't change developers or hosting, but if there are elements in the page that get you ranked as you say, don't let a new developer play with it.

If the content and domain stays the same changing hosts should not matter.

I just moved a site to a new IP and nameservers without missing a beat.

Changing developers of course depends on what the new developers do.
