How do adult site make money?

Please ignore my mistake if this is not the suitable place for this message, and mods please don't delete this message I couldn't find better category for this.

The question is I am thinking to start a new soft adult content site. The secondary motive after good traffic is to get some handful of money from the site to cover up the cost of domain and site hosting. Now as the Google don't allow the adult site to display adsense ads, how am i going to finance myself. Are there other affiliate network who does this, also what can be all other types of income sources from which a webmaster can make money from adult site.

What your experience says about the earning rate of adult site are they higher than the other type or lesser? Please share the solution of these questions, i couldn't find the answer anywhere.....Thanks in advance!

There are *lots* of pornographic sites advertising on similar sites (I assume by "adult" you mean pornographic?).

I suggest visiting similar sites and finding advertisers and affiliates that way.

their are loads of affiliates that are in the soft adult market and I would suggest you hit one of the many adult forums and you'll soon get spammed by the affiliate guys & content providers - just make sure you read & understand the 2257 law!

Those lines says something valuable but not very clear to me. can you elaborate..please

I am not pretty sure about it but I think that these guys rely on advertising and affiliates as some people have pointed out. But apart from that they have subscription payments which provide their users with stuff like videos, chat and so on. And they pay for all that.

I have a domain name registered with me with little adult touch, I just wanted to know how it runs online. But in the very beginning i am feeling its going to be difficult to promote the site and get content for it. There are loads of sites out there i wonder if all of them get their content legitimately. perhaps user participation will solve the problem. I appreciate highly if some one can guide me whether it would be beneficial to start with it.
