Its a Netropa keyboard driver - are you using an HP machine? Apparently causes problems after installing XP.

Acternaweb,

According to a Google search, it's a "Multimedia keyboard manager. Required if you use the multimedia keys."

How do you stop the KBD.exe error message...Ive had this system for almost a year and it just started appearing within the few weeks. It is a HP Pavillion

You can stop the KBD.exe error message by uninstalling it after you install a new driver such as the one found at [www2.driverguide.com...]
It works for HP Pavilion 8755c with the sk-2506 keyboard.
Unzip it, go to control panel, system, hardware, device manager, keyboards. Right click, upgrade, install from a list or specific location. Choose the location you unzipped the file in. When you are done go to control panel, add/remove programs and choose kbd.exe.

Thanks, I actually tried this one also. Although the button management is not as nice it does allow setting
all of the buttons on the model sk-2506:

One thing to add, you should first go to control panel -
add/remove programs and remove any keyboard drivers you previously installed before installing a new one. I have been trying a lot of drivers and had some problems when I didn't do that first.

One more thing, if you use the last driver i mentioned, it is an hp driver and will install kbd.exe in c:\hp\kbd and will not cause errors during start-up, so don't remove it.
