Hello All,

I want to setup a Video Streaming Server in my LAN (not on Public Network). I don't have any knowledge of Servers. So you need to provide instructions from the beginning.

Below is list of contents I am having with me ready

1) video CDs.
2) Windows 2k3 server ready to use. Clients are Windows and Linux
3) Network is connected on CISCO L2 switches and L3 Main switch.

According to this what more (any Hardware or Software) I must get.
Does my videos need to encode in other formats.
I required High Quality Videos.

Please provide your knowledge to me, so I can finish this job successfully.
Reply your posts as early as possible.

windows media player will actually allow LAN streaming, you don't need a stand alone "server" for this.

VLC player will also stream over a network as well.
