If you upload video to the Web, and that video includes sound, you should always include a text alternative, such as captions. As an added bonus, since most captioning for the Web relies on text, providing captions for your videos will ensure that they are indexed by search engines more quickly and accurately, meaning your video will reach more people.

this is sick; i just found out i could do this; i thought it was going to be that much harder to get my vlog indexed; anybody had any success with this?

you could just write out everything and put it on same/seperate page?

That's what I have been doing for years. Just put the transcript on the same page of the video for great seo.

That's pretty much what the link from nealrodriguez's post was talking about.

actually, these transcripts are loaded, so they can appear as subtitles in the video. it would be ideal if i could get it where i could just play the video, and have it written by a voice recognition program; then i could copy and paste that into a transcript that would be loaded and appear as subtitles. just have to create the time to square it away.
