It was a good day thanks to all especially Mike for organising it and the Bar tab was good while it lasted perhaps BT looksmart could keep it going next time? :p)
Seriously though it was nice meeting some of you there and definately worth doing again. Perhaps next time I can get a horse :)
My apologies to anyone who I didn't get to meet this time (Sorry Max, I think you'd left by the time I was told you were looking for me - next time? Or sticky-mail me), and my thanks to all those that I did get to meet and chat with.
I even got to see what a Nottingham Forrest Football supporter looks like. ;)

Thanks you very much to the organisers and sponsers. Hope to be there next time! ( please let there be a next time! )
I probably didn't win the Fantastic Top Dog software, (1) because I had top leave early, and (2) because I could only thing of about 4 search engines! The alchohol had taken it's effect!! ;)
great crack - as the Irish might say - thanks to Mike who's anxiety about lonliness in London grew into something very memorable.
BTW, the venue was excellent -- a pub from the early 1400's -- and made a great atmosphere.
Particular admiration goes to those who stayed up all night in the hotel bar on Saturday -- I won't mention names -- great conversations!
A very special thanks to the sponsors, organisers and participants – especially the American (to include Canada and Columbia!) and the European contingents for the extra effort it took to attend. It was great meeting you all.
It was informative and a very valuable networking opportunity – a successful “beta” version for an East or West coast US session?
I’m sure the Thistle hasn’t seen such seriously bad company two nights in a row in a while!

Many thanks, everyone. I'm really looking forward to the next one. It was really nice putting nics to names - and names to faces.
This was indeed a wonderful arrangement and a splendid idea, indeed! Warm thanks to Mike and all the others who made this possible.
We enjoyed meeting you all very much, and didn't mind the free drinks either (thanks to the sponsors)!
(and the whiskey tasted great, topdog!)
We have said this repeatedly, but will say so again: This is an extremely useful venue, not only because you get new friends, but beceause we all get a better feel for what is going on out there. We need input from others in order to widen our own perspective, on search engines, optimization and marketing in general.
We would also like to thank the search engine and directory representatives (Fast, GoTo and BT LookSmart), who in an open and friendly way gave us a glimpse into their views and plans for the future.
Now, SEO experts and search engines alike, tend to keep their cards close to their chests. Still, it's amazing what you can learn on an evening like this :)
Once again Webmaster World has demonstrated what a valuable community it is.

I allways thought there was to little time for networking at the other conferences. Here it was all networking.
In spite of the free bar, I managed to take some pictures. Have a look at [communities.msn.com...]
I didnt get to really speak to more than a fraction of the attendees, but I enjoyed speaking to those I did get to.
Very useful, suberb atmosphere and a great example of why this is such a great community :)
I'd like to see a London (or at least UK) based event become annual. I also volunteer my services to help out with that (if required - this one went well, but many hands make light work)
I would certainly like to see a US version as well (never been "across the pond" - be a good excuse)
Where do I sign up? :)
In view of what TopDog has written above, I wish to state that I was in bed long before 5 am and did not fall asleep with my head on the keyboard last night ( see oilman's post in [webmasterworld.com...] ).
Kudos to NFFC and all you other moderators for putting this together. Thanks to Siljan and rencke for the beautifull horse (I'll wear it with pride), and a very big THANK YOU to Topdog, Looksmart and Goto for picking up the tab ;)
What an eyeopening experience to put actual faces to all the nic's - very nice meeting you all even though some of you looked a bit better friday evening than saturday morning - maybe topdog had something to do with this?
Great fun. Looking forward to seeing you all again.
Conference participants who missed Rumbas, can try to sticky mail him to get it. Can't guarantee that he will respond though. Be very polite and humble: "Oh, mighty Rumbas! I am so sorry I missed you at the conference, but.... That might work.
Thanks to the sponsors, the visiting "beans-spilling" SE folk, :) the longer-term members (who kept us WmW newbies from feeling left out) and especially the organisers & Mike M. for making this happen.
