I'm watching all the videos about Twitter marketing strategies on Youtube and wondering if you guys have one in mind that is a must to watch?

So far, the best strategy I learned is to gathered the most amount of followers (ex: twollo, twollow, twellow, twibes, etc...) by first following them and by having them follow you back, you will end up with a bunch that will follow you.

I heard about that before. And I have watch that on weibo(Chinese website). I just can't understand why Twitter wanna change. And it will be a multimedia website.

That is one of the best strategies to get targeted twitter followers, i just use twitterfall its a good site.

Even better is tweetattacks, you can get a free version, it's by far the best tool to get targeted twitter followers, just look it up on youtube, it makes your work automated.

Thanks, I bought Tweet Adder this week. The part that sucks is that the search they have on specific keywords is the same that Twitter uses and it brings back only 20 search results instead of 1000s.

Now you have to go to other site like Twibes do get followers lists and import them into Tweet Adder but it does the job.

Do they really help to fetch targeted visitors?
Sorry to ask but I have not yet used any of them. And I think I should try one. Actually I do it manually by searching target audiences whether it's local or global.

You bet it helps, in less than 24 hrs TweetAdder found me 17,000 Twitter persons to follow in my niche and I'm just beginning.

I added them in various ways. Using a search like you did but also by importing Twitter lists of groups of people or by entering the name of a leader in my field with 1000s of followers so that TweetAdder can download his/her list of followers and add it to the list of people to follow.

Of course they won't all follow me back but the more people you follow, the more you end up as followers and from there it's just a matter of time before contact and sales are made.

Maybe that's the case in the Internet Marketing field but not in my field.

For example, if you deal with carpenters and you find 17,000 of them, chances are the wast majority of them are not Internet Marketers trying to sell stuff to carpenters.

Every niche is an Internet Marketing field. That's why you're on WebmasterWorld, not CarpentryWorld. ;)

I understand that carpentry may not be your field and that's just an example. But let's run with your example. The contracting space is one of the most spammed out and competitive niches. It's a subset of the Local Search Internet Marketing niche. That competitiveness is going to be reflected in the Twitter ecosystem. If there's a dollar to be made then it's a given you will find other Internet Marketers just like you who are trying to make a buck off gaining Twitter followers.

I'm not saying Twitter is useless. Just noting a hole in the belief that money is going to automatically follow from picking up followers while ignoring there are others just like you who are using similar tactics to gain followers. It resembles 2001 all over again, but instead of trading links people are trading followers.

I just find this assumption highly questionable. Martinibuster is a much more diplomatic person than me.....

All this 2.0 stuff is successful if you work the RELATIONSHIP first and formost. If you treat it as a lead gen numbers game, I think you could probably spend your time more profitable on something else.

Create a community, not a list. If its a list you wont go build an email database.

2.0 is about relationship building using internet communition platforms that facilite a bi direccional flow of content/conversation.

I have experience creating influencial twitter accounts in different niches .... it took quite some time (approx 6 - 12 months) to really get a return on the effort. But twitter is now the SECOND largest traffic provider for these clientes (all are large nacional and or internation companies).

What you said just made me think of some get rich quick type rubbish. If it were that easy someone else would have done it already. Or are you that brillant?

I am not trying to have a bash at you. Just hoping to get a key concept accross that has proven profitable for me, 2.0 is for building relationships. Do you really wont to cut corners on that?
