For example, all things equal (meaning, adding 3-4 content pages a day, constantly), where should one expect to see it's traffic in 6 months, in a year, in 2 years.
When do you get to 30 000 visitors a day?
Let's create this study together.
As a starting point I will say the following.
I have started my site in March 2004.
I put in average 3 articles a day, and today I have 1000 plus articles.
After 9th month, I steadly get 200-300 visitors a day and about 600-700 pages viewed (my traffic is excluded)
Where do you stand?
when should I expect to see 1000 visitors a day? or 10 000 or 30 000 visitors a day?
All things equal: meanin, adding 3-4 articles a day.
thank you.

Each day the articles are rotated slightly (795 articles remain the same, 5 change).
The site in question rankings #1 on Goggle for 2 of the main keywords and #1 on Yahoo for one of the keywords.
Last time I checked the server logs were we handling somewhere around 50,000 hits/day.
That figure is without advertising of course.
Other servers need to have special software installed onto them. I prefer one called "Advance Logger". I takes 5 mins to install and it only requires all your webpages to call a javascript file to log the data. Very easy and useful :)
