Has anyone done any A/B testing with this? Which gets searched more? Which has better conversion?
Is anyone prepared to make a case one way or another?

The only stats I have are from an AdWords campaign that's been going on for about 3 months now, and for all combinations in this campaign, Location Keyword impressions beats Keyword Location impressions by a margin of about 60-40.
I'd be curious for other responses that (hopefully) have something more scientific. :)

I think it can depend on the industry. I've seen indications of this from a few totally different topics.
