Any search stats by industry sector for different times of year?

Are people interested in heaters in summer...?

For some time I have been thinking that I need to know if people are interested in "heaters in summer".

In other words are there any stats around that show search numbers by industry sector for different times of the year. These stats would therefore reflect what people are interested in at different times. eg Xmas trees at Xmas. I hope you get the picture...

"Industry sector", definition? Not sure but I would think as generally aggreed to by US commerce department, trade commission, or whatever is the governing body.

"Time of year", definition? By quarter I guess, or whatever is available.

Apologies if post is in wrong area.
Also I know that this is a very general question but i know nothing about the subject so I gotta start somewhere.

You are not really going to find this kind of information unless you either pay out some cash to a media/demographics research company OR track trends yourself through keyword tools such as Overture and Wordtracker.

Of course there are the occasional free handouts from a few search engines or portals showing the top searched terms for a specific time but that won't really help you much will it?

Maybe I can pay cash depending on how much they want.

Any suggestions regarding companies involved.

Also, I wonder if there have been and Uni research done.
Some other threads here refer to Uni research on other topics.
