One of the best starting points I've found for research topics is at the Nec website and researchindex.com. You can start here, and surf your way around this great page of academic resources related to Googles PageRank:

One of the best things I've noticed about that site is that the engine keeps cached pages, similar to google, of what it has come across, so if the web site is taken down, you can still get the document.

Eg, the pagerank paper, isn't on the stanford server anymore where the link pointed, but the server kept a cached version.

Very, very good site. One of my favorites.

Any chance you noticed anything published by nec themselves about the activities of their crawler? I tried to visit the site, got denied, so I'm not giving their crawler anything. If a research entity shares it's publications with me, I'll let it have anything, if not, I deny the little spider.
