But, how do i know if my clients website is blacklisted?
I am experienceing a lot of problems with one of my clients - the Search Engines do not seem to like the site at all! I have never had a problem like this before and i am not sure what to do!

Yours is a fairly general question - I'd suggest starting by analyzing the problem on a search engine by search engine basis. I.e., in a given SE, is the site getting spidered, are any pages listed, etc.
For Google, I'd check PageRank, linkage, etc., to get a quick idea of whether something is amiss. Good luck - as you get more specific questions, I'm sure you'll get plenty of help here.
