Listing Publisher IDs

New SE

We have started developing a new SE. It is going pretty good and we have collected a lot of content so far. It is going at a pace of 10 pages per second which is okay for startes.

At the moment we are developing the algorithm for ranking results - This will take som time.

In the mean time we want to use the data allready collected. We have decided to make a small SE where users can input a Google Publisher ID and see which sites use that specific ID. I know of only one other site that supplies the same service - but ours will be free.

We have finished fishing out the PUB IDīs of the collected content.

Our question before launch is if it is legal to make this kind of service where users can snoop around other peoples IDīs?

Privacy extremists would probably be against it. But I for one would probably use it to see if some other site had copied my Pub ID. If they did that, most likely they scraped other content as well.

Sure it could be used for checking your own ID. I did not even think about that---thanks.

My taking on the use was more to determine patterns in MFA networks.

If you know one site that belongs to a MFA publisher it would be nice to know them all.

Also if you know one site with adsense on it that belongs to DMOZ a editor it would be nice to know all of his sites.
