Does anyone know of recent statistics on user behaviour when they reach a search engine what percentage click on banners, compared to search engines or paid listings?

I don't have actual numbers, I doubt anyone that does would want to reveal them anyway, it would be closely guarded data. But to venture a guess, I would say less than 1% click on banners, 5%-15% click on paid listings (depending on placement and how they are identified), 80%-90% click on regular results.

Yes, that is pretty tight data. I do know that many of the large corporations have done such statistical studies.
There are some Forestor studies that have been done (quite expensive).
