My partner changed his hosting company. After doing searches under the companyname.com, the search engines are still showing broken links for his URL from the previous hosting company. How do I get these taken out? I've never encountered this before.

Thanks for any assistance!

Hello I G , welcome to WebmasterWorld

May be crawler tried to access your website while it was down and he didnt found those pages and hence broken links

it will be clear by next crawl i guess

Hi Benevolent001:

Thanks for your kind reply. I only wish that were the case. He created new landing pages when he moved his hosting company and that was over a year ago, but the old landing pages are still showing up. I don't understand why these landing pages are still showing up in the search engines when they are no longer being hosted. .thus he does not have access to the old pages. Do the search engines not delete the old robot results?

Do you think that if we re-create the "old landing pages", and we use the <META NAME="ROBOTS" CONTENT="NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW"> coding, that will work?

Any advice will be appreciated! I'm at a loss on this one and it is definitely hurting my SEO efforts. HELP PLEASE. Thanks!

Google, all I have to say is I love you more today than what I have in the past (and that's a LOT and for a VERY long time!). Thanks for the Supplemental Result. You saved my partner's wesite! You are the bomb! :-)
