Hi!

I have been a career web developer and webmaster for the past few years. Now I have joined a new company (as a web marketer) that is already into ERP, SEO and M$ based solutions for clients. The company's website already figures well for several keywords and has good credentials as testimonials.

My mandate is to bring in leads only for deals worth USD 5k and above. And the results have to be brought in within 2-months. The fact that project bidding engines are crowded by dime-a-dozen programmers and SEO brings in too un-focussed a traffic, how do I hit it hard on the nail in the given time frame.

Could you please help me with ideas to build a marketing plan for selling software services B I G on the web?

With best regards

Okay, some things that come to my mind could be:

1. Surveying old customers and reviving them on stagnated/new projects
2. Identifying a niche and using PPC ads
3. Participating on blogs

Now, #3 is kind of passive, not the direct way generating leads, isn't it?

Any thing else I could be doing?

Hmmm... not sure how much help you'll get for your questions as they're a little vague.

But from what I've read -- your product is 5K+, correct? First off -- is the product going to be sold on the web or is this Pure Lead Generation?

If you use PPC - I would stay away from Contextual programs as far as letting Webmasters publish your ad on their site. I would stick to staying in Sponsored Results and use very strict keywords...

The product is pretty expensive but is it Software and what type of industry, to be exact? What's the niche...

sorry, trying to help but there's not much information to go by :-)
