Page Titles: Category + News Title? or No?

What is the best practice of a page title?

On my site I have closely related news stories under closely related categoryies.

So my site's average article page title looks like this:

Myste.com: Category Name - Article Title Here

Is this a good practice?

I was thinking may be I should eliminate the category name and leave only article title in the page title?

What are the pros and cons?

The reason I have the category name there is because it is closely related to the article titles and there is a keyword match.

Do you mean your new title would be

"Mysite.com: Article Name" or just "Article Name"?

I'd be inclined to go with the latter.

At the very least, put the Article Title at the beginning of the page title.

I would do following:
article title : category : site

Why?

1. Because when I'm looking for something I'm not very interested in the site name and category. I'm interested in subject. And if article was interesting I would notice/remember site name.
2. According to AdSense heat map, left page side attracts more attention. And by placing article title first you show user the subject rather then your site name.
