I can tell you that I didn't find Business 2.0 very profitable. I'm sure it is good for corporate types as a lot of focus goes into company structures and leadership and not much into actual web marketing and business.

Most of the info I get is online now.

Anyone else with comments or suggestions?

For web marketing I've not seen a publication that can compete with online resources, but I find Direct [directmag.com] valuable for more general marketing ideas.

The only insightful resources that I have found are all digital.....

Some good newsletters:
Search Engine World Quarterly [searchengineworld.com]
Planet Ocean [searchengine-news.com]
The Search Engine Report Newsletter [searchenginewatch.com]

additional resources [pandia.com]

This thread is going to be scary for print mags/newspapers...

After 30 years as a reader/subscriber of The Wall Street Journal and almost 40 years with BusinessWeek, I'm not going to renew my subscriptions. I've already found better information online, and that information has usually been two days to two weeks in advance of when it arrives in print. I now read print only for relaxation or entertainment.

I'll add that WmW has some of the best industry newshounds out there, that helps.

There's a print magazine put out by webtechniques.com that's free to anyone who's in IT or a web developer (at any level). All it takes is filling out a little survey. It's always varied and interesting - articles on design, backend, scripting, etc.

I'd have to vote with the "get my important info online" crowd. I do get "complimentary" industry subscriptions to WebTechniques, eWeek and Direct, but the info I really put to use is all gathered online.

One of my favorite online publications is the SexSwap Trix newsletter put out by Andy Dunn.

This email newsletter is directed to adult webmasters, so if you're offended by that, skip this post.

Traditionally, adult webmasters have been at the vanguard of search engine promotion, trying to stay ahead in their extremely competitive field. I've found the SexSwap Trix newsletter to be stuffed full of all kinds of information, from SEO info, to server setup info, web design, scripting, marketing, ROI analysis, etc...

Stickymail me if you want the web page address.
