Is there a matrix that mesures the top search engines

Does anyone know of a matrix for the top search enginges. One that might act as a web trends for them? I need show which engines are most important and who uses them. Suprisngly I could not find this information on respective sites.

Of course, the "importance" of a search engine can be measured in many different ways.

I don't know of any stats on who uses the different engines. I know that some industries seem to have more success with certain engines, but whether that's truly across the board and verified, I don't know.

Anyway, I like Web Snapshot for stats on the most popular search engines by Web users:

[websnapshot.com...]

I recently wrote to Media Metrix about an update on their stats, and I do have copies -- if anyone wants one, let me know. These are the top Portals and Search/Navigation sites according to unique visitors in April 2001. They're in Excel format.

Search Engine Watch has some statistical information as well.

I don't know if this is what you're after or not -- but maybe it helps a little.

Nope, it was my fault for turning it off. (grumble grumble) It is fixed now. Sorry for the trouble. :(
