Subdomain pointers

I believe that is the correct term. On my server I can have a subdomain [yo.yoyo.com...] that actually points to a folder [yoyo.com...]

The question is would it be wise to utilize this from both ends? In other words could I submit them both ways? Would there be benefits/penalties for doing so?

I assume you'd be risking penalties for submitting duplicate content. I'd think (at the very least) one of the URLs would either get dropped or not get listed at all... at worst, the domain could be banned for spamming (but I doubt it).
