... and here I was thinking it's a misspelling of the name Worf :(
In German, "Wurf" simply means "throw", as in "let's throw out this robot" or possibly "this robot makes me want to throw up". (OK, not exactly. It's a noun. But close enough.)
It asks for robots.txt, but does it obey it? A few days back I met a robot that I was all set to poke a hole for since it began its visit with a request for robots.txt ... until I brought up the full record and noted that its requests included pages in roboted-out directories, so no hole-poking required.
