Tiscali IstellaBot

Anyone got any thoughts on this one?

We've been absolutely hammered with the User-Agent :

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; IstellaBot/1.18.81 +http://www.tiscali.it/)

Presumably this crawler is powering [istella.it...] but there is no information for webmasters - e.g. its robots.txt compliance - that I can find anywhere on www.tiscali.it or www.istella.it

Just keep it blocked?

Tiscali is unwanted and the IstellaBot has been around over 6 months at least and is unwanted. I block it, you can use search and find more information in old threads. I haven't seen anyone unblocking it.

Block 217.73.208.11 - 217.73.208.126 - that's worked for me for the past couple of years.

Tiscali itself is an EU ISP (including UK, Italy etc) and should not be blocked (except individual IPs for bad accesses).
