Hello,

I am relatively new to SEO and am looking for a few popular training courses and or conferences (preferably in the Southern California Area). A friend of mine mentioned [snip] as a place to go for training, has anyone here had any experience with them? Are there any good SEO or related conferences? What’s your experience? Any advice?

Thanks!

Hehe. I've heard that this one [pubcon.com] is pretty good. ;-)

I was considering learning it myself via on-line material. I found a site that promises to provide all the information and tools that will help me become an expert on SEO marketing. The cost to gain access is not that much, but I want to make sure it worth it. Has someone else taken this route?

that's how many people learn so you are on the right track there!

well you are on one of the most respected place on the web to learn about SEO [webmasterworld.com] and all the info is free so why would you want to pay for it?

just hang around here, read as much as you can and post any questions you may have.
