I have a customer with a site that is hosted on the other side of a cable modem, using a static IP address. The IP is froma range that is deemed 'dynamically allocated' by spam filters, even though this site gets the same one all the time.
Will the search engines penalise this site because of the IP?

If it's a static IP I would not think there would be any problem, but in fact, I know of plenty of sites on dynamic IP's that are doing just fine thank you.

and dynamic dns , its just wonderful, I can switch IP's for a 1000 sites and have them hosted across the glob and then back again in a matter of mins,
Just wait for IPv6 :: I wonder how the se's will react to the new addressing if it ever hits main stream.
