Hi All,

I have been optimising my clients site for over three months (this is my first project) now and the rankings are getting better slowly day by day.
My problem here is that the client wants a detailed report on my activities apart from the improvement on rankings which he can see for himself.
Could anyone tell me who to make a detailed report and present it to the client, or what all sections would the report comprise off.

thanks
nick

Hey, I'd simply gain access to the client's stats from his server. They provide graphs - and tons of information you can use in a report.

Hi Nick,

Give your client a detailed report in this fashion.
1) give me number of hrs spent on activity 1
2) give me number of hrs spent on activity 2
.....
Along with this hrs report also explain the client what you did actually in those hrs like research, analysis .....
To make the client understand more on this back all this things will an excel spreadsheet work. Here u can show in detail what analysis was done, what research was done......

Hope u find it helpful

Hi There,

I would also go with more then just your name and hours spent. I would try and get a hold of web position gold or related software that gives you some feedback on your positioning in the search engines. If you want to look professional then make a report one week and compare it to another report in a couple weeks and keep doing this. Then create a graph on your own statistics from what is happening from week to week and present your customer with this. I find that the more visuals you can give a client the better off they are being comfortable knowing what you have done. Percentages and numbers will just confuse them. Take Care.

thanks a lot guys, I now have an idea what to do.
I was planning to give the stats but comparing them to my time speant is a better idea to justify my work. I will do that.
Also the comparison of weekely charts is great. Will get that done.
Thanks again ..take care
