One of my site's that I'm working with has been around for years, been working with me for over a year, has had the same content for at least nine months, and has been submitted by me to the SE's for that year. This morning I get a ranking report that says they have moved up in the SERPs for almost all their keywords (except G) and I'm not sure why it happened. I'm happy about it, but I'd like to understand why so I can pass it along to other websites.
Thanks!
If you've seen this on multiple search engines, then it can't just be an algorithm change; your site must actually have got better. If you haven't changed the site, then it's clearly improved off-page rather than on-page. So...
Got any new backlinks recently? (Don't forget: could be deeplinks). Or have your existing link partners significantly gained in PR?
