Importance of Breadcrumbs on PDPs

We want to update the breadcrumbs on PDPs

We are looking to make an update to the breadcrumbs on PDPs where it would display the last 2 categories for mobile then have a clickable "..." that will expand the remaining breadcrumbs. I'm wondering how this would impact SEO. IKEA currently has this experience on mobile.

The code is already in the page, so I doubt it will make any SEO difference as far as search engines are concerned.

If it is of user benefit, you will see that in return visitors rather than SEO...

Hey, I've seen IKEA's mobile breadcrumbs! It's a cool idea for saving space. Just make sure Google can still crawl them all, and you should be good for SEO.
