Can a blog with multiple topics get ranking in multiple serps spots today?
I see some websites (example: type in danlok media ) in google first page he comes up with multiple topics , I think these are category pages?
Or Tiffany rings (ecommerce site) comes up multiple times in google with multiple topics / categories.
You not need ecommerce site for this you can use a normal business website too with multiple topics.
Ok, for me it makes no sense that the search engine preffers category pages more than "normal pages".
My thoughts are using multiple similar name domains like: mynamemedia, mynamepodcasts, mynameguides, etc, etc... or using the category page strategy for multiple topics, ranking each category who has good amount of content topic centered and have subtopic links.
Multiple domains are higher in costs for hosting, you need multiple domain social media profiles ...on one domain it is easier to handle and more cost effective at the beginning with tight budget.
I mean when google is showing only 2 results from your domain in the serps today, is it not like "shrinking" ?
Get multiple ranking spots in the serps you build seo estates ....
