hi

I'm looking at a new template for a simple website and it is basically one long page with a header that contains anchor text links down the page.
i.e. links for 'Products', 'About us', 'Contact' etc. Is a site design template like this good or bad for SEO? I'm also looking at other templates where the 'Products', 'About us', 'Contact' are all on separate pages.

Thanks

Jack

Hey Jack,

I'm curious as to why you would want a one-page website rather than using separate pages for about, contact etc?

I wouldn't say it's bad for SEO as such but you're not doing yourself any favours and making it difficult for yourself in the long run. You're massively limiting yourself with regards to keywords and links plus, personally, I think users like being able to navigate from page to page too then your journey is easily stored in the browser!

Unless you absolutely must have a one-page website for some reason, go for a template where you can add pages as and when you need to - that's my advice :)
