What are some good first blog ideas?

Hi, ive had 2 blogs before, one on general life and one on marketing tips etc but neither have taken off. I've done them through blogger.com (because of the adsense opportunity).

What are some good topics that generally always get traffic that i could start off doing?

There are a million topics out there that you could blog about. However, if you choose a really popular topic like weight loss or dating advice, the competition is going to be so high that you may never get the results you want.

You need to sit down and think about what you're interested in, what you are passionate about enough to create frequent content, and go from there.

After that, you're really going to have to do some serious keyword research and figure out what your target keywords are.

Passion first. Money second. If money is the desire the expect 3.5 million there ahead of you and figure the odds of getting into the top ten.

I'd rather do dental surgery without anesthesia with a pair of pliers. The days of straight up verticals has diminished to near nothing. Particularly on Google.

Which brings us back to 1) Passion. Write about what you know and enjoy and in such a fashion that others have fun, too... and there's a chance!
