What is the expected traffic drop during government holidays ?

May 30 and 31 are experiencing huge traffic drop.

How much traffic drop one can expect on government holidays. Especially, those long weekends seem terrible to me. Have anyone else experienced such huge traffic drops during holidays ? Or is there something I am interpreting wrong passing the buck on holidays ?

Always bad for me (in the US). Also bad between christmas and new years

As I post this, I do have a smile on my face:

When people are on vacation, they are either away from their Internet or shopping in malls. On line biz almost always drops across the board on the actual holiday. The run up to any holiday might bring biz, example Christmas, but on the actual day is pretty dismal for sales. B&Ms have the same problem.

yes, in my experience most shopping is done by people who are at work ... or rather they should be working but are using office time to surf the internet.
