One Site or Three

Lost hosting, one site is still up, which direction should I take?

I've searched WebmasterWorld on Google for an answer to this but haven't found one specific enough for my situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I started with 1 good ranking targeted site and branched out into 3 targeted sites that rank well. Having several sites has helped with ranking because of the networking I've done with them.

Site products:
All red widgets
All blue widgets
All yellow widgets

I realize now I should have just started an 'All Widgets' site, but in the beginning I only wanted to sell red widgets. That changed as the customer base increased. I was later advised to go on and open an All Widgets site, which I did. But then hesitated to move the 3 to the new 1 because of fear of loss of rank. The newer 4th site ranks and has been completely spidered, but the ranking is much lower than the 3 older sites. (I haven't done any marketing with it yet.)

Now, as fate would have it, the partners of the company that hosted me split their partnership. The partner who is not my webmaster has decided to shut me down. OUCH. Everything is now dead. I'm still in the SERPS, but I know it won't be for long. (Not to mention that I wasn't given any notice til after it was all shut off)

Should I:

1. Move all 4 sites to a new host hoping my ranking doesn't change? By the time I get this done it would result in a total of 7-10 days in downtime.

2. Take advantage of the downtime, which may hurt me anyway, and finally combine the sites using 301 redirects? This would result in a total of about 4-5 days downtime.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I failed to mention, the combined site "All Widgets" is still up and running. I had already moved that from the old server.

And I have some older, spidered blogs that I haven't been using. These could be easily used to build the 'network' of sites that I would lose by combining the 3 into 1.

It's that leap of faith that's killing me.

Move the other sites to a fresh server and carry on, business as usual. This server shouldn't affect your rankings unless you should a server whose IP is a shared host to a large number of spam/questionable websites but it sounds like you are probably ready for a more reputable website host anyway.

Good luck.
