Regards,

I am one of the old webmaster, I was not in business for about 2 years because of personal family problems.

Now I am in a process of updating my website and CMS and adding aproximatly 1000 new content articles.

Can somebody give me advice should I add:

"Meta Keywords"
and
"Meta Description"

for every single article? I heard that Google isn't considering this two tags any more, and it would save a lot of time if it is not need to add them.

Advices are welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Meta description is important .
Meta keywords are not so important.

agree with the above.

definitely add an original the meta description to each page and if you do have time add a few meta keywords.

My CMS has an option to use first few sentences of article to add the META DESCRIPTON.

Is that okay?

My CMS has an option to use first few sentences of article to add the META DESCRIPTON.

The META description can be your sales pitch in the search results - what text will make the user click on your results as opposed to your competitors?

If the first few sentences of each page will do that, then fine, but I'd suggest a custom, crafted META description - at least for your key pages.

In addition to the above - the keywords that the user is searching for will be highlighted in your META description, so including these keywords in your description text (where appropriate) gives your listings more prominence. Consider whether or not the first couple of lines of your page text would do that.

Obviously don't keyword stuff - the search engines won't like it and it won't be appealing to your users.
