Hello.

I am creating a website for my business and I would appreciate some advice.

Before, the centre was providing one service, so I had 2 different domains: nameofcentre.co.uk and nameofservice-london.co.uk as I thought that if the name of the service is in the domain, this would improve my search rank.

Now, I will be providing much more different services and I am planning to put them all under one site. nameofcentre.co.uk and have the locations of the different services as folders. Would this be the best idea or should i do subdomains, or separate domains all together like I was doing at first.

London also a very big keyword.

Thanks in advance

I always suggest working under "one umbrella" if possible. You have a lot more power with one domain than you do with more smaller domains and there are of course exceptions to the rule.

In reference to using a host domain as opposed to a sub-directory, I'd use the host domain if I had enough unique content to populate it. I wouldn't do it solely for SEO purposes.

Now, there will be others who may recommend the multi-domain approach. That may work but I feel it comes with associated risks that just are not worth the effort.
