Well, Let me know if anyone knows the answer or how I can prevent it. What if someone [former employee, Compititor...]who knows about my site starts submitting the link 10 times everyday just to blacklist my site. Is there any way to prevent it.

Thanks all those experts out there. ;)

Welcome to Webmasterworld webjunk!

It shouldn't make any difference to your site's ranking because anyone could submit your site to the search engines. They are just wasting their time. While they are doing this you can concentrate on improving your website. :)

webjunk welcome to WebmasterWorld.
To quote a Google person:
"There is nothing that we are aware of that a competitor could do or use to trigger a penalty on your site"

But is it not a spam to resubmit to any Search Engine repeatedly. Almost every site on SEO topic has mentioned this point. Just confused a bit. ;(

From Google's Information for webmasters [google.com]:

Fiction: A website will be removed from Google's index if it's 'over-submitted'.

Fact: We do not require submission nor do we penalize sites for 'over-submission'. You are free to submit as often as you wish. However, given the nature of our inclusion process, your time is better spent improving the content and links of your site.

Your competitor is wasting his time, much better for you than if he were doing something useful ;)
